Unlike the standard version of vBook, the cloud version isn’t installed on your personal computer — it’s hosted in the cloud. The cloud is a remote environment that makes your applications accessible anytime, anywhere. You can log in and work simultaneously from anywhere, on any device with a web browser.
Connections are encrypted and secured with passwords, providing different levels of access.
Users can choose to make their works publicly viewable, either partially or in full, similar to an online catalogue raisonné.
We’ve made a free demo version available online so you can try vBook cloud at your own pace.
Click this link to explore the catalog page.
Use the search field or the menus on the left to display the corresponding works. Note that the contents of the Category, Subject, and other menus are dynamic. When you add a new category through the work interface, it will automatically appear in the Category menu.
To access the working interface, simply click the icon at the top right of your window, then choose the Connect menu. If you’re familiar with vBook v5, the interface will be similar to the one you’re used to. If you’re new to vBook, feel free to download a trial version and explore it comfortably on your own computer.
The demo version requires no password to ensure a smooth transition between the catalog and the work interface. Artwork records feature a Publish to Web checkbox, accessible from Edit mode or by clicking the + button at the bottom left of your window, then selecting More..., followed by the Publish to Web option (see screenshots below).
An artwork is added to or removed from the catalog depending on the status of this checkbox. All changes are applied immediately.
The catalog text and footer cannot be modified in the demo version; however, you can adjust the number of images displayed per page via User Settings > More… tab then Web Catalog section.
To return to the catalog page, click the icon to expand the menu, then select View online catalog. If you prefer not to switch back and forth between the work interface and the catalog, you can open both simultaneously in separate tabs or windows of your browser.
